HEALTH AND SPORTS CLUB |
A Health and Sports Club in a B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) college is a student-led and faculty-supported organization that promotes physical fitness, mental well-being, and sportsmanship among future educators. It aims to develop awareness about health, encourage participation in sports and recreational activities, and instill the values of teamwork, discipline, and leadership essential for professional educators.
OBJECTIVES
1. To promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among student-teachers through regular sports and fitness activities.
2. To develop interest and participation in various indoor and outdoor sports, games, and recreational activities.
3. To organize health awareness programs, workshops, and seminars on nutrition, hygiene, mental health, and fitness.
4. To foster teamwork, leadership, and a spirit of healthy competition through inter-college and intra-college sports events.
5. To help student-teachers understand the role of physical education in school curriculum and child development.
6. To identify and nurture sporting talent among students and provide platforms for their growth.
7. To create awareness about mental health and stress management techniques for teacher trainees.
8. To encourage inclusive participation, ensuring students of all abilities are engaged in health and sports activities.
9. To collaborate with local health and sports organizations for better exposure and training opportunities. 10. To support the holistic development of student-teachers by integrating physical, emotional, and social well-being.
